Would 874.45/month be reasonable for a tiny apartment in Baltimore?
OK so I’m looking at campus housing at johns hopkins. Basically, I could get my own little apartment (an “efficiency” room) for $875/month. That’s including utilities, internet, etc. (not food though).
What is this price like in comparison to what I’d be paying if I chose off-campus housing instead? I’m not gonna share a bathroom with anyone, so that means I’d obviously paying more off-campus than if I shared with someone.
I’m just not sure if $875 is better than what I could do off-campus? I don’t know anything about the housing market in Baltimore right now…
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
actually it doesn’t sound that bad. i would make sure in the contract it says that they will do any repairs needed, and not put you off if something important needs fixed. thats the problem with these places. they give you a good deal on the rent, and screw you with the seriously expensive problems, and the next tenant gets whatever you just payed for for the same price. just keep your eyes open.
